Parker Boudreaux may have some competition for the most creative verbal commitment in Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2016.

Rivals five-star outside linebacker Daelin Hayes announced his verbal commitment Thursday through a "Dark Knight" inspired video on Bleacher Report that shows him running through the streets of Detroit before arriving at a building with a Notre Dame logo on it. Hayes chose Notre Dame over Michigan State and Ohio State, and also had offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UCLA and USC, among others.

Hayes is the 19th verbal commitment to Notre Dame's upcoming recruiting class. The Ann Arbor, Mich. native is the first Rivals five-star member of the group, which includes nine four-star recruits, eight three-star recruits and one two-star recruit (Loyola long snapper John Shannon). He's the second linebacker to verbally commit to Notre Dame, joining Jarron Jones' younger brother, Jamir Jones

With Hayes' verbal commitment, Notre Dame's 2016 recruiting class is currently ranked eighth by Rivals.com.
