Notre Dame's 2016 game against Navy will be played at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., according to a report from Fox 4 in Jacksonville. A formal announcement is expected next Wednesday, according to Fox 4.

The Nov. 5 game will take place a week after the annual Florida-Georgia game at the home of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. Notre Dame will play its annual Shamrock Series game Nov. 12 against Army at the Alamodome in San Antonio and will also play a neutral-site game against Syracuse Oct. 1 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Notre Dame and Navy play at neutral sites every other season, with the Irish welcoming Navy to South Bend in the other years. The two historic rivals have played 88 times, though only once in Florida — that being a 45-14 Notre Dame win in Orlando in 2000.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported in April the San Diego Bowl Game Association was vying to bring Notre Dame to Qualcomm Stadium in either 2016 or 2018.
