American Cancer Society is putting together a virtual 5K

The DetermiNation program of the American Cancer Society is putting together a virtual 5K to raise money.

Participants are encouraged to run the 3.1-mile distance on June 5, which is National Cancer Survivor day. The 5K is one of many events that the DetermiNation program is putting on to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.

A virtual 5K means that participants do not necessarily have to run the distance, but can walk if it is desired. This is done in an effort to increase participation in order to maximize awareness and donations.
