NBC Sports Chicago begins new era with new discussion show, championship classics and the Blackhawks season opener

Chicago, IL (October 1, 2019) – NBC Sports Chicago - THE NEW EXCLUSIVE HOME of the Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox - enters a new era beginning today and fans are in for a treat as the network will deliver week-long championship classics featuring the Blackhawks and Bulls, along with the debut of a brand new, monthly roundtable discussion show featuring executives/coaches/players from the Blackhawks/Bulls/White Sox, along with a White Sox Season Recap special, a Blackhawks Season Preview special, and more…all of which leads up to NBC Sports Chicago’s exclusive local coverage of the 2019-20 Blackhawks Season Opener LIVE from Prague, Czech Republic against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday, October 4 (an expanded, one-hour edition of Blackhawks Pregame Live presented by ChevyDrivesChicago.com begins at 12 NOON CT; face-off at 1:00 PM). Please note the following highlights for this week:

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1 --

  • 10:30 PMWhite Sox Season Recap Special - Hosted by Chuck Garfien (@ChuckGarfien) and White Sox legend Ozzie Guillen (@OzzieGuillen), the White Sox Season Recap Special will wrap-up the southsiders 2019 MLB campaign, which will include discussion surrounding the resurgence of 2019 American League (and MLB) batting champion Tim Anderson, the future of American League RBI champ Jose Abreu, the emergence of rookie sensation Eloy Jimenez, the progression of franchise cornerstones Yoan Moncada and Lucas Giolito, along with the excitement heading into 2020 MLB campaign and much more. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3 --

  • 7:00 PM Blackhawks Season Preview Special - Hosted by Pat Boyle (@BoyleNBCS), along with former Blackhawks standout/current Blackhawks Community Liaison Jamal Mayers (@jamalmayers) and NBC Sports Chicago digital Blackhawks reporter/producer Charlie Roumeliotis (@CRoumeliotis), who will deliver the very latest team news/player updates from Prague, the Blackhawks Season Preview Special will provide viewers with a detailed season preview analysis, along with a comprehensive look at this year’s Blackhawks roster and all the off-season trades & acquisitions that will have this team primed for a return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
