Biggest storyline: It was a huge turnaround season for WWS in 2018. Can the Tigers keep the momentum going and make another deep run in the state football playoffs in 2019?

Names to watch this season: RB Jacob Arthurs (Sr.), WR/K Jack Olsen (Senior, committed to Michigan State)

Biggest holes to fill: The Tigers will bring back some key names from a year ago, but they will need to replace (nearly) their entire starting defense from ‘18.

EDGY's Early Take: Wheaton South and Hall of Fame head coach Ron Muhitch led the Tigers program to the 7A state quarterfinals. It was, undoubtedly, one of the biggest comeback stories of the 2018 season— and a nice turnaround for a program that had missed the IHSA state playoffs from 2015 thru 2017. If the Tigers can get their defense in gear, the offense has plenty of weapons and firepower to compete in the very tough DuKane conference and into the playoffs.
