Biggest storyline: Putting the 2017 playoff loss behind them. Can the Warriors get back into the Class 6A state playoff field and make a strong postseason run?
Names to watch this season: OL/DL Deion Harry and OL Jesus Ambriz
Biggest holes to fill: The Warriors will need to reload in a big way in the offensive skills department. This includes replacing a team leader lost to graduation, long-time starting QB Isiah Rucker.
EDGY's Early Take: Crete-Monee remains one of the south suburbs' most successful programs over the past decade. And losing in the opening round of the playoffs last fall was no question unacceptable-- especially to head coach John Konecki and staff. If the Warriors can survive one of the state's toughest first three weeks of the regular season, they will be a state playoff team and a big overall threat once again in Class 6A.
