85 Days to Kickoff: Morris

School: Morris

Head coach: Alan Thorson

Assistant coaches: John Courter, John Wodziak, Bill Lauer, Keith Anderson, Greg Larsen, Matt Seidel, Danny Hoffman, Derek Johnston, Jon Lanning, Justin Zink, Ryan Clauson, John Lyle

How they fared in 2014: 7-5 (2-2 Northern Illinois Big 12 East Conference); The Redskins made the 5A state playoff field and beat UHigh and Mahomet Seymour before losing to Peoria in the quarterfinal round.

[RELATED - 86 Days to Kickoff: Marian Central Catholic]

Biggest storyline in 2015: Can the Redskins replace a handful of key graduation losses in the offensive/defensive line?

Names to watch: RB/LB Keagan Sobol - one of the top returning running backs to watch in 5A this season - and OL/DL Ryan Niewinski - a standout senior two-way starter.

Biggest holes to fill: Offensive and defensive line.

EDGY's Early Take: The Redskins welcome back 23 seniors from a 5A state quarterfinal team in 2014. If Morris can fill in a few key spots, it has the potential to make another deep run in 5A...if it can escape its annual tough conference slate.

Who wants it more?

We are putting High School Lites, Chicagoland's top prep sports show, in the hands of area football fans in our "Viewers' Choice Game of the Week." Fans will get the chance to pick one game that the @NBCSPreps crew will cover on Friday night. We will send our cameras to the game that gets the most votes; highlights and postgame reaction of that game will appear on that night's "High School Lites" broadcast at 11 p.m. — just after Chicago Cubs and White Sox baseball. The show also live streams at www.nbcsportschicago.com/watchlive. High School Lites will also have broadcast replays at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. the following Saturday. This week, we are spotlighting teams who are off and running with hot starts this season. How will they fare in a critical conference showdown? We'll send our cameras to one of the following:

Oswego East at Plainfield South, 7:00 p.m.

Joliet Catholic at Marist, 7:00 p.m.

Hinsdale South at Willowbrook, 7:30 p.m.
