Biggest storyline: The Rams went from a seven-win team (2016) to a four-win team last season. Can the Rams bounce back from a year ago and get back into the IHSA state playoff field?
Names to watch this season: QB Jesse Cardona and OL Mo Hassan
Biggest holes to fill: The Rams will need to replace several key graduated starters this summer, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
EDGY's Early Take: The Rams missed the IHSA state playoffs for the first time in four years, so expect head coach Tim Zasada to have his team focused and ready to get out of the gate. If the Rams can stay healthy, they have some key starters and potential impact players on hand to make a push for a state playoff spot. Overall numbers at all levels remains an issue for the Rams (along with most of the South Suburban Red). 2018 will be the first year the conference has eliminated sophomore football, instead playing JV football before the varsity games.
