CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2015 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on Aug. 28.

School: Addison Trail

Head coach: Paul Parpet Jr.

Assistant coaches: Chris Bazant, Mike Capizzano, Mike Jones, Joe Renc, Curtis Tate, Kendrick Thomas, David Williams, Jim Ziebka

How they fared in 2014: 9-2 (6-0 West Suburban Gold); Addison Trail made the 7A state playoffs and beat Lake Zurich (7-3) before losing to Libertyville (17-7).

Biggest storyline in 2015: Can the Blazers reload on defense? Addison Trail will graduate seven starters this spring from one of the top defenses in the Western suburbs in 2014.

Names to watch: WR Darrion Conrad - a terrific pass catcher with experience - is back in the fold - and DL Mike Domek, who will be asked to lead a young defense.

Biggest holes to fill: Besides needing to reload a bit on defense, graduated QB Mike Rybarczyk was a big time playmaker and his late season injury was a huge blow for the Blazers. Senior QB Ryan Zygowicz saw playing time and will ease the transition.

EDGY's Early Take: Look for the Blazers to be in the mix towards to top half of the West Suburban Gold this fall.
