School: Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish

Head coach: Rich Zinanni

Assistant coaches: Kurt Belisle, Jack Roney, Mike Yarborough

How they fared in 2015: 13-1 (3-1 Chicago Catholic League White Division). The Fightin' Irish won the Class 3A title by defeating Tolono Unity, 50-7.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can Bishop McNamara repeat and win another title this fall?

Names to watch this season: WR/DB Chris Bell (Western Michigan), OL/DL Dylan Deatherage (Western Michigan).

Biggest holes to fill: Bishop McNamara will need to replace Central Michigan-bound running back Jonathon Ward who had an All-State season in 2015.

EDGY's early take: The Fightin' Irish bring back 12 returning starters from 2015, including eight on defense. That's the good news. Bishop McNamara will need to survive the always tough CCL slate. If they can catch a break or two especially in the injury department, expect the potential for another deep run come state playoff time.
