Players to watch: Junior forward Justin Smith was a starter last season as a sophomore and he's generated high-major interest from schools because of his athleticism and skill level. Transfer guards Rodney Herenten, a senior, and his younger brother Willie, a junior, should be some nice additions after coming from Whitney Young.

Did you know? In head coach Pat Ambrose's 16 seasons at Stevenson, the team has always finished above .500.

Why they're in the Power Rankings: Coming off of three consecutive trips to Peoria in Class 4A, it's going to be impossible to replace Jalen Brunson, Connor Cashaw, Matt Johnson and Parker Nichols. But Stevenson still has plenty of talent and they're a North suburban power. Smith is a potential star and the former role players had to battle a state-title contender in practice every day the last three years.
