CSN Preps Power Rankings: No. 4 Glenbard North

CSN Preps Power Rankings: No. 4 Glenbard North

School: Gelnbard North

Head coach: Ryan Wilkens

How they fared in 2015: 7-3 (6-2) DuPage Valley Conference. Glenbard North made the 2015 Class 7A state playoff field. The Panthers lost to Mount Carmel in opening round action.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Panthers survive the DuPage Valley schedule and make a state playoff run?

Names to watch this season:  WR/DB Jace James (Northwestern); WR/DB Tyrik Henderson

Biggest holes to fill:  Can the Panthers reload on the offensive line?

EDGY's Early Take: The Panthers dropped out early in the state playoffs a season ago, yet this is a team that has played a ton of young talent on both sides of the football. The Panthers receiver and secondary group could very well be one of the state's top groups. Senior RB Vittorio Tricase along with junior WR/DB Greg Newsome are just a few more names to watch this fall.

Biggest storyline: Can the Cyclones keep winning in a new conference (CPL Illini Windy City) starting this year?

Names to watch this season: TE Tony Stafford and OL Kam Williams

Biggest holes to fill: The Cyclones will need to replace 8 starters on defense lost to graduation.

EDGY's Early Take: The Cyclones had a historic season in 2017 making the IHSA state playoff field for the first time in school history. With the recent success comes a "move up" to the Illini division this fall. Look for Ag Science to rely on an experienced offense (seven starters) including four returning starters on the Cyclones offensive line from a year ago.

Biggest storyline: After a forfeited season in 2016 and a winning record last season, can the Bengals find success moving up to the CPL Chicago Madison Street conference this season?

Names to watch this season: RB/DB Keondre White and TE/SS Mateo Foster

Biggest holes to fill: The Bengals will welcome back several returning starters but overall depth could be a potential issue this season.

EDGY's Early Take: Bogan, with third-year head coach Stacy Douglas, will be stepping up in a big way this fall. They will move from the Intra City conference to the Chicago Madison Street conference, which is IHSA state playoff eligible. While the schedule is a bit tougher this fall do not overlook the Bengals’ chances of competing for a conference title and a potential state playoff bid in 2018.
