From a college football recruiting perspective, Phillips junior defensive end Malcolm Fox (6-foot-0, 220 pounds) is in the same position as many others this time of the year: a “tweener.”

Fox, who started at defensive end last season for the Class 4A state champion Phillips Wildcats, is an impressive player who showed well as a defensive lineman at the EDGYTIM Underclassmen Showcase. That said, Fox fits a little more in the college linebacker mold, as opposed to playing defensive end at the high college level. But one thing remains clear: Fox will be a name to watch over the next several months in recruiting circles.
