The IHSA boys basketball season came to an abrupt, unprecedented end last week

But plenty of great moments still happened during the season. And High School Lites was there for many of this season's big moments. Here's a look at over 40 memorable moments from the 2019-20 IHSA boys basketball season.

This list includes buzzer-beaters, huge dunks, major storylines, holiday tournament titles, the postseason and much more!

St. Joseph played its first home game without legendary head coach Gene Pingatore.

Glenbrook South's Dom Martinelli made early-season headlines with 51 points in a win over Buffalo Grove.

An early top-15 matchup saw Whitney Young defeat Lincoln Park on the road in a Public League thriller.

In front of a massive crowd, Loyola held off Notre Dame in a battle of top-15 teams.

Crane gave Orr its only Class 2A loss of the season with an upset win.

In a huge early matchup of top-25 teams, Mundelein took down Lake Park.

Curie held off Simeon for a huge conference road win in the Red South/Central.

Joliet West proved it was for real with an upset win over Simeon at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.

Morton's Manny Rodriguez nailed a half-court buzzer-beater at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament to give the Mustangs a win over Hillcrest.

At the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic, four top-25 teams battled in the semifinals. DePaul Prep outlasted Marian Catholic, while Homewood-Flossmoor knocked off Stevenson.

Curie ascended to No. 1 in the Preps Power Rankings after beating Bloom in the Pontiac Holiday Tournament title game.

Bolingbrook claimed the title at the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic by defeating York.

Curie proved itself worthy of the No. 1 spot with another massive Red South/Central win over Bogan.

Stevenson took control of the North Suburban Lake with a tight home win over Mundelein.

Fremd needed a buzzer-beater to beat conference rival Barrington.

Thornton proved itself as a top-five team with a convincing win over Homewood-Flossmoor.

One of the season's best conference rivalries was Buffalo Grove and Rolling Meadows battling in the MSL. The Mustangs' Max Christie and Bison's Kam Craft were two of the area's elite players this season. Buffalo Grove claimed the first matchup on the road. The second matchup saw Rolling Meadows win a double-overtime thriller as Christie and Craft both scored more than 40 points each. 

In the midst of a school-best season, Hinsdale South won two games on buzzer-beaters and won the MLK event at Sterling for six wins in six days.

Zion-Benton pulled off one of the season's big early upsets with an impressive road win at Evanston.

Simeon got out of a mid-season funk with a huge road win over rival Morgan Park.

Evanston bounced back with a tight road win over rival New Trier.

A huge South Suburban Red showdown saw Oak Lawn hold off Richards for a tight win.

The DuPage Valley Conference saw DeKalb stay unbeaten in league play with a comeback win over Naperville Central.

Whitney Young's DJ Steward was named to the McDonald's All-American Game.

The Southland had plenty of huge matchups this season. Bloom knocked off Thornton in one of the season's more hyped games.

Dom Martinelli had a big fourth quarter to lift Glenbrook South past Evanston in the CSL South.

West Aurora used a half-court buzzer-beater for a thrilling home win over Yorkville.

Whitney Young's Tyler Beard threw down perhaps the biggest dunk of the entire high school season.

A buzzer-beater from Connor Davis lifted Neuqua Valley past Waubonsie Valley.

Indian Creek started to draw buzz to its undefeated season by claiming the Little Ten Tournament title over Newark.

Homewood-Flossmoor earned an impressive conference win over Bolingbrook.

Niles North senior Aquan Smart started to draw massive attention for his play, eventually committing to Maryland.

The Public League Playoff quarterfinals saw wins from Morgan Park, Simeon, Curie and Bogan.

The Public League Playoff semifinals saw Simeon take down Curie and Morgan Park get revenge against Bogan

One of the Catholic League's biggest games this season saw Fenwick beat DePaul Prep on the road.

Simeon won its 10th Public League Playoff title by winning over rival Morgan Park.  

Evanston got revenge against Glenbrook South in the CSL South with a thrilling one-point overtime win.

Hillcrest's Mar'Keise Irving hit a buzzer-beater to lift the Hawks over T.F. North.

Loyola separated itself from the Catholic League pack with a notable road win at Fenwick.

Glenbrook South beat Niles North for the second time this season to win the CSL Championship Game.

The South Suburban Blue came down to the final night with Hillcrest beating Oak Forest to claim a split of the league title.

In a late-season showdown of top ten teams, Curie held off Notre Dame.

Morton knocked off York to win a Class 4A regional title at home.
