With the NBA announcing its annual All-Star teams on Thursday, we thought we would have some fun and pick a mid-season high school version of the best Chicagoland high school basketball players.
So we selected a head coach, five starters and nine reserves to fill out our own 2019-20 team. Only one player was selected per high school team. This list was selected based on a combination of team success, individual accomplishments and overall play.
At the end of the season, we'll have our three-team All-Area team. But, for now, here are some players standing out during the 2019-20 season.
