Northwestern added a verbal commitment today from Glenbard North senior wide receiver Jace James (6-foot-1, 190 pounds).

James, who took part in the Northwestern Showcase camp on Friday came away with scholarship offer from the Wildcats along with additional offers on the same day from Western Michigan, Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Western Illinois.
James returned to the Northwestern campus today with his Panthers team for the Northwestern team 7-on-7 and James gave the Wildcats coaching staff his verbal commitment.
James is now the Wildcats 14th known verbal commitment in the Class of 2017. James joins Lakes Community defensive back Cameron Ruiz as in-state commitments for Northwestern.
