Biggest storyline: Can the Bulldogs made a deep run in the IHSA state playoffs in 2018?

Names to watch this season: QB/S Sebastian Castro (Iowa) and RB Leshon Williams

Biggest holes to fill: The Bulldogs welcome back 13 starters (seven offense, six defense) this season and while Richards is loaded with talent, overall numbers and depth could be a concern.

EDGY's Early Take: Richards has been able to get several underclassmen playing time over the past few seasons and that patience should pay off this fall. The Bulldogs offense will feature junior RB Leshon Williams who is already adding FBS level offers while standout Iowa commit QB/S Sebastian Castro has a chance to see playing time at receiver and running back with the addition of Shepard transfer senior QB Marquel Porter this summer into the football program. The Bulldogs defense also has talent and experience back and this very well could be the most talented Richards team since the 2013 Class 6A state title runner up squad.
