Share

School: Oak Park-River Forest

2016-17 record: 24-7, 11-1 West Suburban Silver

Postseason results: Lost to Whitney Young in Class 4A sectional finals

Players to watch: The Huskies have returning backcourt experience with senior Isaiah Fuller and junior Dashon Enoch. Both players were important to OPRF's success last season. Emerging junior forward Charlie Hoehne is a player to keep tabs on after a promising summer. Malachi Ross also returns to help on the interior as he's a good rebounder and defender.

Why they're in the power rankings: Coming off of last season's conference title and Class 4A sectional finals appearance, OPRF has plenty of talented players returning. After knocking off defending champion Curie in the playoffs last season, the Huskies also know they can compete with the state's best teams.

Did you know? It was a strong summer for OPRF as the Huskies went 32-6 during the shootout-filled month of June.
