Preps Basketball Power Rankings: No. 6 Bogan

Share

School: Bogan

2018-19 record: 30-4 (7-2 Public League Red-South/Central)

Postseason results: Lost to East St. Louis in Class 3A title game.

Players to watch: Senior wing Kyndall Davis was one of the area's breakout players this summer as he showcased an improved jumper to go along with strong defensive prowess. Big man Tremear Fraley throws down some punishing dunks and should be one of the city's better interior players this season. Junior guard Darrion Jones continues to emerge as one of the city's better guards.

Why they're in the power rankings: It will be tough for the Bengals to replace the massive presence of Rashaun Agee. But there's still plenty to like about this team. The Bengals have a number of hard-nosed athletes who can swarm the ball and make plays. And Davis has blossomed into the latest star in a long line of underrated Bogan players.

Did you know? Last season was a breakthrough for the Bengals as the program made it to Peoria for the first time in school history. Bogan is also in the midst of a six-year run of regional titles.
