Wheaton-Warrenville South picked up an easy DuPage Valley win at Metea Valley on Tuesday night before they go to Bloomington to play in the Large School division of the State Farm Holiday Tournament this week. The Tigers will face Springfield first.
20. Thornton (5-3, 2-0) (20)

19. Bloom (6-2, 2-0) (19)
It should be a good week to see how good Bloom really is at Pontiac as the Blazing Trojans get plenty of tests. The opening matchup against Peoria Manual is one of the best first-round games of any holiday tournament in the state.
18. Homewood-Flossmoor (7-1, 1-0) (18)
Homewood-Flossmoor is going to be an intriguing team to watch for at the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic as the Vikings will be one of the favorites to play for a championship. Things aren't going to be easy in the opener, however, as Homewood-Flossmoor faces St. Viator.
17. Conant (8-2, 2-1) (17)
Conant is going to be one of the favorites among the 32-team field at York as the Cougars have the talent and experience to win the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic. Conant cruised to a big win over Glenbard East in the opening round at York.
16. Fremd (9-0, 3-0) (16)
Fremd has to considered the team to beat at the Wheeling Hardwood Classic as the Vikings enter the event unbeaten with a win over Notre Dame -- one of the event's marquee teams. If Fremd wins at Wheeling then we'll need to re-examine where they stand in the state title picture because they could be a darkhorse. Fremd opens with Vernon Hills.
15. Marist (12-0, 2-0) (15)
Marist earned another four victories to move to 12-0 on the season but they really haven't played any notable teams yet. Oak Park-River Forest remains a huge threat in the West Suburban Silver as they're one of five ranked teams playing at Pontiac this week. If the Huskies win their opener at Pontiac over St. Charles North they could get a crack at No. 2 Simeon.
12. Fenwick (8-1, 3-0) (9)
Fenwick dropped one to Benet for its first loss of the season as the Friars will try to recover as one of the better teams in the Proviso West field. The Friars open with Providence-St. Mel.

Orr had last week off as they prepare to travel to Detroit for holiday tournament action up in Michigan. The Spartans will open with a game against Detroit Pershing on Monday.
10. Uplift (8-2, 3-0) (11)
This could be one of the most important weeks of the season for Uplift as they get to test themselves against other ranked competition at Proviso West. The Titans likely won't face many of these teams in the state playoff equation but these games will help Uplift prepare for Peoria. Uplift faces host Proviso West in the first round.
9. North Lawndale (8-2, 2-1) (10)
North Lawndale had the week off as they get ready to head to Bloomington for the Large School division of the State Farm Classic. The Phoneix open the first round with Plainfield South.
8. Whitney Young (5-3, 2-0) (9)

7. Kenwood (8-2, 4-0)
Kenwood dropped a game in Indianapolis to Ben Davis (IN) as they've only lost to out-of-area teams so far this season. The Broncos will try to bounce back during the week by playing in a holiday tournament in Poplar Bluff (MO).
6. Bolingbrook (6-0, 1-0) (6)
Bolingbrook remains one of the deepest teams in the state and that should help them immensely this week at the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic. The Raiders enter that tournament for the first time as one of the favorites as they will face Glenbrook North in the opener.

Joliet West was one of the only ranked teams with a game this week as they beat Romeoville for a Southwest Prairie win. The Tigers open with Niles West at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament as they're expected to be a contender for the title there.
4. Evanston (10-1, 3-0) (4)
This week should be a fun one for Evanston as the Wildkits get to play in the nationally-renowned Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach. It will be hard to measure Evanston's wins and losses, since the competition is so unique, but it should help them prepare for the rest of the season.
3. Morgan Park (6-1, 3-1) (3)
