An MRI revealed Simeon forward and the nation's No. 1 recruit Jabari Parker has a fracture in his right foot, according to Scott Powers of ESPN Chicago.

The 6-foot-8 wing injured his foot while playing for Team USA at the FIBA U17 World Championship in Lithuania. It is not clear at what point during the tournament that Parker suffered the injury. He missed three of Team USA's eight games, including their semifinal victory over Spain, but played 14 minutes of their championship win over Australia. He averaged 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds over his five games.

Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor, who will be a junior this coming season, was named MVP of the tournament.

Parker is not expected to miss any of Simeon's regular season but he will be out for the remainder of the July evaluation period, in which college coaches can travel the country to evaluate top talent.

Parker said he hoped to make his decision in November in a recent interview with the Associated Press. He has narrowed his list of collge choices to 10 schools.
