Seabrook, Torres brush off feud

GLENDALE, Ariz.It was a year ago when Raffi Torres landed a hit to Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrooks head. It was a shot that sidelined Seabrook for two games and added gasoline to an already burning feud between the Blackhawks and Vancouver Cancucks.

Now fast forward to the present. Torres is now with the Phoenix Coyotes, the Blackhawks first-round postseason opponent. But while the two will face each other again under heated circumstances, Torres and Seabrook say that the incident is in the past for both of them.

Seabrook and the Blackhawks were angry last season when Torres received no supplemental discipline for his hit, and they talked plenty about it then.

But on Wednesday, Seabrook wasnt going to revisit anything.

Its over, he said. It was a year ago, and theres nothing to talk about.

Torres, said that hit was just a hockey play, and didnt talk much about it past that.

Obviously, this is a new year and for Torres, a new team. But will old feelings resurface in the heat of playoff battle? Only time will tell.
