Sharp leaves game with lower-body injury

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Chicago Blackhawks left wing Patrick Sharp was injured late in the first period and did not return to the bench for the start of the second period.

Sharp appeared to suffer a left knee injury when Phoenix defenseman Rostislav Klesla colliding with him with 1:35 remaining in the first. Sharp took a few moments to get up and was helped off the ice by a trainer and defenseman Brent Seabrook. He didnt put much weight on his left leg at first and limped off into the dressing room.

Sharp entered Sundays game with a team-leading 34 goals this season.
