Patrick Sharp collected five points (one goal and four assists) as Team Canada (2-0-1) beat Team France (1-2-0) 7-2 at the 2012 IIHF World Hockey Championships on Monday.
Sharp's point total was just one off the Canadian single-game record.
Canada's next game will be against Switzerland on Wednesday and then they will face off with Finland on Friday.
