Many people aren't aware that the Cubs are the only professional sports team in Chicago that does not have a mascot.
The Bulls, Bears, White Sox, Blackhawks, Sky, Fire and heck, even the Rush, all have mascots. The Cubs...not so much.
But why? Should they have one?

Ronnie Woo-Woo doesn't count (though maybe he should).
Our friend Kevin Doellman over at Ayo Kdoe Productions debates this topic and presents eight ideas for a Cubs mascot, ranging from 'EL', a smelly letter L on rollerblades, to 'Hairy', a carebear wearing black framed glasses and holding a microphone to 'Poisen Ivy', a sexy redhead wearing nothing but ivy.
I'm under the impression that the Cubs are a big enough draw where they don't need a mascot to help keep fans entertained. That's what Old Style is for, am I right?
But if they were to get a mascot, my vote would be for 'Hairy.'
