The Chicago White Sox optioned right-hander Dylan Axelrod to Triple-A Charlotte following the team's 7-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers this afternoon.
Right-hander Brett Myers, who was acquired from the Houston Astros earlier today, will report to the White Sox tomorrow and replace Axelrod on the 40-man roster.
Axelrod is 1-2 with a 5.63 ERA in 10 appearances, including six starts, with the White Sox. He allowed two earned runs on three hits in one inning today.
