Sports Business Minute: Attendance boost for MLB stadiums

Share

Let's take a look at the MLB post All-Star break, shall we? (Hint: America loves baseball.)

CSN's Sports Business Insider, Rick Horrow, busts out some numbers showing stadium attendance is at a league-wide boost. The winner in this category (most probably thanks to rookie All-Star, Joc Pederson) goes to the Los Angeles Dodger's averaging 46,000 attendees per game.

But we're not too far behind, Chicago! The Cubs have an attendance average of 35,000 over 45 home games.

However, the White Sox fall a little short with an average of 21,900 on the bleachers for 39 home games.

Horrow also narrows in on the economic impact the HomeRun Derby had on it's host city. The star-studded event garnered nearly $100 million for Cincinnati.
