It may be the offseason for the Daytona Motor Speedway following February's Daytona 500, but that doesn't mean movement has come to a halt there.
Daytona is in the midst of a $400 million renovation to modernize the facilities, making them more comfortable as well.
As part of the construction, crews have had to remove parts of the existing stadium piece by piece to preserve the foundation. It's all set to open in January 2016.

"Just another of the many marvelous architectural and construction feats that will cause this to be one of the iconic facilities in modern facility development when it opens," said Sports Business Insider Rick Horrow.
