VOTE: Wintrust Viewers' Choice Game of the Week

Who wants is more?

NBC Sports Chicago and Wintrust present our “Viewers’ Choice Game of the Week.” We are putting High School Lites, Chicagoland’s top prep sports show, in the hands of passionate high school football followers. Fans will get the chance to pick one game that the @NBCSPreps crew will cover on Friday night. We will send our cameras to the game that gets the most votes; highlights and postgame reaction of that game will appear on that night’s “High School Lites” broadcast at 11:00 p.m. The show also live streams at www.nbcsportschicago.com/watchlive and appears in the MyTeams app.  High School Lites will also have broadcast replays at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. the following Saturday on NBC Sports Chicago.

This week, it's all about the "backyard brawls." We are featuring three games with strong local rivalry connections. Which "border war" high school football game is the most worthy of our coverage? We will spotlight the following three games on our Twitter page (@NBCSPreps):

Biggest storyline: Can the Gators rely on an experienced, talented team to compete for the Fox Valley Conference title along with getting into the IHSA football playoff field?

Names to watch this season: OT Trevor Keegan, OL Dom Collado and WR Jacob Rana

Biggest holes to fill: The Gators defense must improve upon on the defensive side of the football. Last season, they allowed over 38 points per game.

EDGY's Early Take: The Gators feature Illinois' top-ranked player in the Class of 2019 in Trevor Keegan (6-foot-6, 310 pounds). Keegan will anchor an offensive line with plenty of size and experience. If Crystal Lake South can get its defense in order they have a good chance at challenging for a playoff spot in October.
