Viewers' Choice: Vote for High School Lites game coverage

Who wants it more?

We are putting High School Lites, Chicagoland’s top prep sports show, in the hands of area football fans in our “Viewers’ Choice Game of the Week.” Fans will get the chance to pick one game that the NBC Sports Chicago (@NBCSPreps) crew will cover on Thursday night. We will send our cameras to the game that gets the most votes; highlights of that game will appear on Friday night's “High School Lites” broadcast at 11 p.m. — just after Chicago Bulls basketball. The show also live streams at High School Lites will also have broadcast replays at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. the following Saturday. This week, for the first time all year, we’re giving Thursday some love. You ready, Chicago Public League? The following Thursday games are up for coverage:

Phoenix vs. Urban Prep/West, 4:15 p.m. (Rockne Stadium)

Hyde Park vs. Washington, 4:15 p.m. (Gately Stadium)

Morgan Park vs. Goode, 7:15 p.m. (Gately Stadium)

Poll opens Monday at 12 p.m. and closes Thursday at 3 p.m. Here is what fans need to do to vote:

We will make an announcement on @NBCSPreps just after 3 p.m. Thursday with the official results of which game will be covered. The first 75 team profiles will focus on teams making strides across Chicagoland and elsewhere in the state. Leading up to kickoff on Friday, Aug. 25., we unveil the @CSNPreps Top 25 Power Rankings.

Biggest storyline: Can the young but talented Roadrunners win a state title in 2017?

Names to watch this season: senior OL/DL Isaiah Lee, senior LB Wesley Lones

Biggest holes to fill: The Roadrunners bring back a ton of experience on both sides of the football but they need to develop some depth on both sides of the ball.

EDGY's Early Take: Under Racki, Nazareth Academy will be one of Chicagoland's most talented and loaded teams this fall. If the talent level can come together and play on the same page, the Roadrunners have a great chance at making a deep IHSA state playoff run in 2017.
