So, apparently the NFL Network employs former running back LaDainian Tomlinson now. And apparently LaDainian Tomlinson was asked about the Bears. And apparently LaDainian Tomlinson thinks that, for some reason, the team's wide receiver group is the biggest question mark? And that Allen Robinson – the same Allen Robinson who had at least 5 catches in 14 of the Bears' 16 games last season – needs to be more consistent?
Anyway, I'll let you guess what Allen Robinson thinks about all this:
Couldn't have put it better myself. LT: Football Reference exists! You can look at it for free!
By now, you've surely read 1,000 times that Cole Kmet grew up a Bears fan.
The Notre Dame tight end – who will head into Bears camp this summer looking to contribute immediately – hopped on a conference call with reporters on Friday night and talked at length about his childhood spent rooting for the Bears. When asked about which players he idolized growing up, Kmet played the hits:
"For me, when I really started to play tight end, it was Greg Olsen for a little bit before they traded him. But you know, for me, I was always watching Brian Urlacher was a lot of fun on defense. He was a guy I really loved watching growing up."
These answers aren't particularly surprising. The new Bears tight end is obviously going to shout out one of the most beloved Bears tight ends in team history, and the Urlacher name drop needs no explanation. And apparently his favorite game memory is ... from preseason?
"It was actually a preseason game against the Chargers when LaDainian Tomlinson was on the team. I just remember going to that and I had a lot of fun there just because L.T. at the time was a player that I loved watching when I was a little kid. So that was a game that stuck out to me. I always loved going to those types of deals, like the preseason games. I went to a Halloween game vs. the Vikings a couple of years back, that was fun. But yeah definitely going to go see L.T. in the preseason matchup was pretty cool."
To each their own! Maybe it was a great preseason game.
