VOTE: Wintrust Viewers' Choice Game of the Week

Who wants is more?

NBC Sports Chicago and Wintrust present our “Viewers’ Choice Game of the Week.” We are putting High School Lites, Chicagoland’s top prep sports show, in the hands of passionate high school football followers. Fans will get the chance to pick one game that the @NBCSPreps crew will cover on Friday night. We will send our cameras to the game that gets the most votes; highlights and postgame reaction of that game will appear on that night’s “High School Lites” broadcast at 11:00 p.m., just after Cubs and White Sox baseball. The show also live streams at www.nbcsportschicago.com/watchlive and appears in the MyTeams app.  High School Lites will also have broadcast replays at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. the following Saturday on NBC Sports Chicago.

This week we are putting the spotlight on some 4A powerhouses-- and one 2A team (Clifton Central) that is making serious strides in the rankings. We will spotlight the following three games on our Twitter page (@NBCSPreps).

Which one is the most worthy of our coverage?

Bishop McNamara at Coal City, 7:00 p.m.

Herscher at Clifton Central, 7:00 p.m.

Plano at Marengo, 7:00 p.m.

To participate, our fans are encouraged to do the following:

Names to watch this season: Senior WR Marco Vitale, Senior OL/DL Jose Bodon

Biggest holes to fill: The Rebels will need to find a new quarterback to lead the passing attack with the graduation of Richie Zacharius.

EDGY's early take: The Rebels bring back a good core of starters from last season, including seven on defense. Look for Ridgewood to again be a factor in the Metro Suburban Conference and beyond this season.

Biggest storyline: Can the Reapers reload?

Names to watch this season: Senior DB Mauricio Perez Senior DB Alec Chavez

Biggest holes to fill: The Reapers will need to replace 20 graduated starters from a season ago, and that group also included several multi-year starters for Plano.

EDGY's Early Take: The Reapers no question have work to do this summer, yet head coach Brad Kunz and staff always finds a way for Plano to compete in the Interstate 8 conference and beyond.
