Biggest storyline: Closing out games. The Meteors were four points away from a winning record last season. Can they finish the task in 2019?

Names to watch this season: DB/WR Semaj Brown (Sr.) and RB Kendi Young (Sr.)

Biggest holes to fill: The Meteors will need to replace eight graduated starters on defense from a season ago.

EDGY's Early Take: Second-year head coach Tristan Stovall will rely on their offense in the early going. They have talent, featuring FBS recruits Semaj Brown (WR/DB) and RB Kendi Young as part of 10 returning starters back this fall. If the Meteors can find some kids to step up on the defensive side of the football, this team will challenge for a state playoff spot.

While T.F. North (3-6) fell short of making the state playoffs in 2018, the Meteors and head coach Tristan Stovall will welcome back a much more experienced team this fall, spearheaded by the Meteors' first FBS-level recruit in several years.

North's three star-ranked safety recruit Semaj Brown (6-foot-2, 190 pounds), a junior, has already landed several FBS-level scholarship offers this winter. That list includes verbal offers from the likes of Nebraska, Pitt and Syracuse. So why would Brown, who's also a talented multi-sport athlete (football/baseball), take part in the fourth annual EDGYTIM Underclassmen Showcase powered by EFT Sports Performance?

Brown discusses his latest recruiting news and much more. Get to know this standout athlete and defensive back-- an up-and-coming name in the Class of 2020.
