After all the bat flip talk, Tim Anderson and Randal Grichuk both homer in first meeting of 2019

Tim Anderson got plenty of support and criticism for his bat flip (and the ensuing bench-clearing nonsense) against the Royals.

One of the biggest critics was Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk.

Friday was the first time the White Sox played the Blue Jays since that Twitter confrontation. Both players got a chance to strut their post-home run bat etiquette.

Grichuk got the first shot in with a three-run home run in the first inning. No bat flip. No stare down. Grichuk lived up to his talk.

Then Tim Anderson homered. Surely Anderson chucked his back directly into the White Sox and yelled loudly as he did so, right?

Well, not exactly.

This is a minor bat flip at most. Grichuk may not even be upset about it. Maybe. Anderson might have reacted stronger if the home run did more than get the White Sox within two runs.

This could be a fun series if these two keep going back and forth.
