Here is what we know about Bryce Harper and the White Sox

White Sox fans woke up to a lot of Bryce Harper excitement and fervor on Twitter. If you missed it and are trying to catch up, here is what we know.

A Twitter user posted a picture of Bryce Harper's name on an LED board with the White Sox logo and the number 34 to Twitter, in the Atrium of the United Center. The user also claimed there was a White Sox jersey with Harper's name on the Michael Jordan statue, which is also housed in the United Center Atrium.

But after a few minutes on social media, with the Tweet picking up steam, it was deleted.

So what does it mean? We don't know.

But here is what we do know, thanks to our own Vinnie Duber who has been in California at the MLB General Manager meetings.

- We know the White Sox are reportedly interested from a report by MLB.com's Jon Morosi.

- White Sox GM Rick Hahn says don't be surprised about Sox seeking big names

- Harper's agent Scott Boras said he is not a fan of rebuilding teams, and the White Sox are trying to transition out of a rebuilding phase.

- One national writer thinks Harper is a lock to go to the Phillies, not because of insder information but his assessment of the free agent landscape and financial flexibility of teams.

- Harper wants a ton of money and turned down a 10-year, $300 million offer from the Nationals

- Morosi also said the White Sox were interested in BOTH Harper and Manny Machado

But that's about all we know.
