Daily White Sox prospects update: Dane Dunning throws six shutout innings and Zack Collins is on fire

Here's your daily update on what the White Sox highly touted prospects are doing in the minor leagues.

Double-A Birmingham

Dane Dunning's second start at Double-A was a real good one, with Dunning turning in six shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out five. He now has a 2.25 ERA over 12 innings in his two starts since being promoted. Zack Collins, Eloy Jimenez and Seby Zavala combined for four hits in the 8-3 win. Collins homered, and in his last eight games, he's slashing .400/.526/.733 with five extra-base hits, seven RBIs and seven walks. Matt Rose homered again, too, his sixth homer in his last five games.

Class A Winston-Salem

Joel Booker had two doubles and a triple, drove in three runs and scored two in a 9-2 win. Blake Rutherford also tripled and drove in four. Alex Call, Luis Alexander Basabe and Gavin Sheets each had a hit.

Class A Kannapolis

Luis Gonzalez had three hits, a walk and a run scored. Kade McClure gave up four runs in five innings in a 9-6 win.

Triple-A Charlotte

Charlie Tilson had an RBI and a stolen base in a 6-5 win.
