Here's your daily update on what the White Sox highly touted prospects are doing in the minor leagues.
Class A Winston-Salem
The Dash are kind of amazing. Dylan Cease starred on the mound Friday, throwing six shutout innings and striking out five while only allowing two hits. His ERA is down to 1.69 on the year. And the offense, as it's doing on a daily basis, tore it up, too. Luis Alexander Basabe picked up three more hits, including a double, and is hitting .400. Micker Adolfo and Gavin Sheets each had two hits, and the three combined for five RBIs in the 8-1 win.
Triple-A Charlotte
Charlie Tilson, Ryan Cordell, Casey Gillaspie and Daniel Palka combined for six hits, with Palka homering in a 6-5 win.
Double-A Birmingham
Seby Zavala had a hit, a walk, a run scored and an RBI in a 5-4 win.
MLB
Class A Kannapolis
Luis Gonzalez and Evan Skoug combined for three walks in a 2-1 loss.
