If a major league club wants Ozzie Guillen to lead their team, he’s all ears.

Guillen said he’s eager for his next managing gig on NBC Sports Chicago’s “Baseball Night in Chicago.”

“If they’re ready to call me, I’m ready,” Guillen said. “I went to the Winter Leagues just to show myself I was still a manager-- and managing in the Winter Leagues is the worst thing I ever did in my career.”

If it was the worst thing he’s done in his career, why do it at all?

“A lot of people thought I went to manage in the Winter Leagues because that’s my step to the big leagues,” Guillen said. “No, I went to the Winter Leagues to manage to go and check my gut feeling about this game. I did, and I love it, and I’m ready to move forward.

“Hopefully soon, if not I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing right now, I love it.”

Currently, Guillen serves as a baseball analyst for NBC Sports Chicago on “Baseball Night in Chicago” and White Sox Pre and Postgame Live.

As manager of the White Sox, Guillen compiled a 678-617 record from 2004-2011. He also led the club to a World Series championship in 2005.

Guillen last managed in the big leagues with the Miami Marlins in 2012.
