No White Sox players or staff members in either major league or minor league camp are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, according to general manager Rick Hahn.

Major League Baseball canceled the remainder of spring training games and delayed the start of the regular season by "at least" two weeks Thursday amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.

A rush of league suspensions and cancelations began Wednesday night, when Ruby Gobert of the NBA's Utah Jazz tested positive for the coronavirus.

"In the interest of full disclosure, we currently have no players in either big league or minor league camp exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus. Knock on wood," Hahn said. "Players or staff, I should say."

Hahn said that players will remain in Arizona, where they can continue the physical work necessary to be ready for the start of the season, whenever that should come.

"We are open right now and we intend to be open the next couple of days for players that wish to come in for either treatment or light activities and again continuing to sort of maintain their physical condition for the foreseeable future," Hahn said. "Everyone agreed that being here is a resource for the players over the next couple of days. Makes the most sense and everyone is on board with doing that."
