Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has had his one-game suspension dropped and reduced to a fine, according to ESPN's Jesse Rogers.
The suspension came about after Anderson was caught on television flipping off the crowd during the first game of a doubleheader versus the Cleveland Guardians on April 20.
Anderson was supposed to serve the suspension on April 22 but appealed the ruling and avoided sitting out a game.
The 28-year-old was suspended for the first three games during this year's opening weekend series against the Detroit Tigers after making contact with umpire Tim Timmons last season. Anderson appealed that decision and got his suspension reduced to just two games.
Anderson is currently batting .330 with four home runs and 10 RBI for the White Sox.
