Tim Anderson, others ejected after benches clear in White Sox-Royals

Tim Anderson is developing a reputation for playing with plenty of swag. On Wednesday, the Royals didn’t enjoy Anderson’s latest swaggy moment.

After homering in the fourth inning, Anderson yelled at the White Sox dugout and threw his bat in that direction.

Naturally, the Royals retaliated. Starting pitcher Brad Keller hit Anderson with a pitch in the butt to lead off the sixth inning. Chaos ensued.

Anderson walked to first and both benches cleared in a hurry. It appeared things calmed down without major incident, but then manager Rick Renteria needed to be held back while yelling at various members of the Royals coaching staff. Renteria was being held back by umpire Joe West (yes, that Joe West).

When the dust settled, Keller, Anderson, Renteria and Royals hitting coach Dale Sveum were ejected.
