Tim Anderson roasts ESPN mid-interview, leaves analysts speechless

Tim Anderson already won the batting title in 2019, now he may be up for a “Roastmaster” title after leaving ESPN anchors speechless during an in-game interview on Sunday.

ESPN forgetting about the South Siders is a tale as old as time. So when the MLB on ESPN crew asked Anderson about how excited he was that the team added big time free agents, Anderson wasn’t about to let them off easy.

“You guys are finally noticing,” Anderson said. “You guys from ESPN, I thought you guys forgot about us.”

The quip rendered the ESPN analysts speechless while Anderson laughed heartily at his own joke. Before long the ESPN crew started laughing along too.

“That’s really well-played by you,” said Jon Sciambi. “Big props for just coming right at us. I’m totally down with that.”

Making matters even better for Anderson and his slam, the Sox had just pulled out to a 6-2 lead over the Cubs.

“Y’all are starting to notice! Y’all are starting to notice now!”
