Vanessa Morgan is using her platform to affect change in how people of color are portrayed on TV.

Morgan, who is married to White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech, tweeted on May 31 saying she was no longer staying quiet in regards to black stereotypes on TV, including the show she stars in, "Riverdale."

This prompted a response from the show’s creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who promised to make changes and “honor Morgan and the character she plays,” as well as all of their actors and characters of color.
