Jake Burger has finally arrived.
The White Sox called up the 2017 first-round pick from the Triple-A Charlotte Knights Friday morning in a flurry of roster moves prior to their series opener in Detroit.
With Yoán Moncada exiting Thursday’s game against the Twins with a bruised hand, Burger will likely make his MLB debut at third base on Friday night against the Tigers.

With the fourth-highest batting average (.322) and RBI total (36) in Triple-A, Burger could provide an immediate offensive boost for a White Sox team that struggled throughout the latter half of June.
