The White Sox may not have made any trade deadline deals on Monday, but the team is adding a fan favorite back into the fold. The team announced Yolmer Sánchez will rejoin the White Sox major league roster, minutes after the trade deadline passed.
Sánchez played for the White Sox all over the infield from 2014 - 2019, and won a Gold Glove at second base last season. Beyond his stellar defense, Sánchez gives the White Sox a great pinch-hitting option off the bench. In 61 at-bats as a sub, Sánchez slashes .295/.333./.525 with 16 strikeouts and 0 GIDP.
Besides what he does between the lines, Sánchez won fans over with his happy-go-lucky attitude, and unique on-field celebrations and antics.
