The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians will have to wait at least one more day to begin their season series at Progressive Field.
For the second day in a row, inclement weather in Cleveland postponed the White Sox-Guardians game.
Tuesday's game has been rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday, April 20. First pitch will be at 1:10 p.m. CT.
It was slated to be a showdown between former Cy Young Award winners, the White Sox' Dallas Keuchel and Cleveland's Shane Bieber. The pitchers will meet in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
The White Sox are scheduled for a series finale in Cleveland on Thursday before travelling to Minnesota for a three-game road stand against the Twins.
Monday's game was rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on July 12, with first pitch at 12:10 p.m. CT.
The second half of that doubleheader — the originally scheduled July 12 game — is scheduled for a 6:10 p.m. CT first pitch.
The Sox are coming off a series win over the Rays at Guaranteed Rate Field. They enter the series in Cleveland with a 6-3 record, first place in the AL Central.
