Sox-O's game washed away by rain, doubleheader Saturday

Rain remains generally undefeated against baseball.

A whole heck of a lot of water fell on the South Side on Friday night, washing away the scheduled clash between the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles.

The White Sox tried to wait out the deluge, not making the call on the postponement until after 8 p.m. But there was too much water falling from the sky to get the game going.

The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, two days before the White Sox are scheduled to play a Memorial Day doubleheader in Cleveland.

Saturday, Game 1 starts at 1:10 p.m., with Game 2 beginning 30 to 45 minutes following the conclusion of the first contest.

Dallas Keuchel gets the start for the White Sox in Game 1 of the doubleheader, with Lance Lynn going in Game 2.

According to the White Sox, fans with tickets to Saturday's originally scheduled game can attend both games of tomorrow's doubleheader and enter Guaranteed Rate Field at any point during either game with their ticket. Tickets from tonight's game do not transfer, and new tickets need to be purchased.
