The COVID-19 outbreak halted the baseball world days ago, but now there is a positive test for a player.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan first reported that a minor league player in the New York Yankees system tested positive for the coronavirus.

There have been three known positive tests in the NBA, but this is the first positive test in baseball.

The Yankees’ spring training facility is in Tampa for the Grapefruit League.

Both Chicago teams have their spring training facilities in Arizona and have been taking various precautions, but this will certainly hit home for the baseball world.
