Nebraska hires new graduate manager, trolls Kansas in the process?

Ali Farokhmanesh is responsible for one of the most memorable shots in recent NCAA tournament history.

With No. 9 seed Northern Iowa up 63-62 on No. 1 seed and tournament favorite Kansas with around 40 seconds left, Farokhmanesh gets the ball all alone on a wing after UNI had broken the Jayhawks pressure and, with some 27 seconds left on the shot clock, fires up one of the most ill-advised threes you’ll ever see.

But he made it, all but sealing the upset win for the Panthers and ensuring that he will forever be put on NCAA tournament highlight reels. You remember, right?:

Why do I bring this up?

Well, Farokhmanesh is back in our lives, as Nebraska announced on Wednesday that they had hired the former Panther sharpshooter as a graduate manager. I’m sure that Terran Petteway will enjoy having someone on that staff that will promote awesomely stupid three-point bombs.

As long as they go in.

And if I’m being honest, the only reason this deserves a post is because I wanted to post a video of Farokhmanesh’s shot.
