Is Norris Cole as good as Blake Griffin? Today, yes.

Norris Cole is a fantasy owner’s dream.

He’s averaging 20.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 5.6 apg, and 2.3 spg.

If his season averages were a dream, then his performance today was like going on a date with Blake Lively.

The Cleveland State point guard had the performance of the year, in not the decade. He finished the game with 41 points, 20 boards, nine assists, and three steals. The last time a player had a 40-20 game was Blake Griffin in 2009, when he had 40 points and 23 boards against Texas Tech. That was the only other 40-20 game in college hoops the last 15 years.

Griffin is a 6'9" forward that is now torching NBA defenses.

Cole is a 6'2" point guard that nearly went to a D-II school.

The most amazing part of this performance? Cole had no idea what his stat line was until the announcers told him after the game.

Shame on you, Cleveland State.

Maybe if Cole knew he was on the verge of history, he could have ended up with the elusive 40-20-10 game.
